Hi peeps! How are you? Just wanna share you a scrapbook layout I made for WeScrap June Challenge this month. Every month, each DT member prepares a challenge to give members a lil push for their scrapping mojos. And RAKs and Prizes are in order of course. I have been addicted to paint since last month and this lo started my addiction to use more paint on my los;

Scarlet Nights Kit-Layout 2

Here is my second lo using the Scarlet Nights Kit. Again, if you are a fan of Jenni Bowlin papers,you gotta grab this kit here as it is full of yummy goodies. Its very very competitive at $16.49.

Some details for you


This butterfly is made up of left over papers from the kit and I just randomly arrange it over my image. Then jazz it up wit stickles.This is a good technique to maximize your papers.Thanks Ronda!

Cant resist to do some hand stitching again and paper pleating..I also used a little Glimmer Mist to add texture on the page.

The flowers ,ribbons and felt are from the kit and I just thought that cutting out a tree using some leftover papers from the kit would be awesome.

Scarlet Nights Kit-Layout 1

Hi darls! At last a new layout I managed to finished today..after a week of MOJO searching..lol! My MOJO visisted me today and decided to play with the Scarlet Night Kit of WeScrap. This kit really rocks! Love the vintage feel of the papers.The kit is a package of 6 papers from Red/Black Line Extension (Jenni Bowlin Studios). Aside from Bazzil papers,there are also some small embellies and yummy journalling tags from Jenni Bowlin that will make your creative juices flow! Its been a long time since I played with subtle colors like this and I must admit its a challenge for me. The pleating technique was inspired by Ally. All of the stitching are again handstitched by me..imagine my sore hands..loL!!

My First NSD ROCKS!!

Scrapbooking Techniques rock my first National Scrapbooking Day!

Whahaaaahhh!!!! Yes you just heard me shout.ROFL!!! I am so filled with great things and a lil scrapper like me couldn't do anything but shout to release all these forces.My DH thinks I'm crazy though he is happy for me.Thats for sure! Now onto the good stuff!!!

I won the Ultimate Scrappers Challenge!!!Here are the details of the final challenge. And my complete explanation is here.

Ultimate Scrapper Challenge

Hi sweeties!! How are you all doing today. Hows NSD in your place? Well me,I am scrapping like a mad dog here since Friday.lol!

I joined the Ultimate Scrapper Challenge Season 2 at Scrappin Kids. Just wanna share some pages for you to see..please please give me your feedback..lol! This lo was created under time pressure..speed is also a factor.

Challenge 1- Create an lo using one pp and one cardstock only,all other stuff are ok as long as this is one is meet. Scrap about the essence of scrapbooking.

Materials used:BG PP,cardstock,recycled box,magazine,miscellaneous buttons,Prima flowers,Prima blings,MM brads

***The flowers and the blings that I used was a gift from my lovely friend Chris.

Challenge 2 - Make a black and white LO- use only black and white colors in your lo.
As I dont have much black and white stash,I have done a lot of recycling here.Recycled a bling packaging and used it as a matte,used the back of my PP as a white page. I grab a page of my black notebook.

Materials Used - DCWV PP, Prima bling,Bazzil flower, miscellaneous lace, BG buttons,Kaiser felt flowers

Challenge 3 -To do a STYLISH photo frame around your photo.No stickers and rubons are allowed,only one photo to be used.
Here I decided to apply the tips i have learned from Ronda over at Cocoa Daisy

Challenge 4: Create 4 Atcs with same theme

Here is what I made.Its called Hoot Series!lol.

Scrapbook Layout With A Summer Theme

This is a scrapbook layout I made using two scrapbooking techniques;

2. Using Scrapbook Daily Prompts

Update: I finished 3 minialbums so far and 2 scrapbook layouts over the weekend. My latest page was inspired by the following;

I used our summer pictures last year,just a few months after our wedding.

I love how the "nice" word is stunning in personal..lol! its so puffy. Im amaze how Diamond Glaze is amazing.ROFL!

I made a scrapbook layout using the hand stitching technique for my moms birthday today!

I am so blessed to have a mom like her! She is just so extra ordinary. She is in the hospital though.

This layout is a great example of how hand stitching works well on a scrapbook layout. I will discuss more of this scrapbooking technique in my next post.

Scrapbooking Techniques Inspiration

Another way to enhance your scrapbooking techniques knowledge is to join scrapbook challenges. My scrapbook layout is inspired by a Sketch Challenge at WeScrap. The page is all about my husband.

I decided that Groovy would be a perfect title since he is such the coolest guy I have ever met.
These picturess were taken last New Years Eve.

The above scrapbook layout used a recycled Prima packaging. Since we are celebrating Earth Day I think this is the best time to recycle and reuse things around us. In fact,I just revealed here another scrapbooking technique you should learn-Reusing/Recycling scrapbook materials.

Scrapbooking Techniques Inspiration 2

Inspirations for new scrapbooking techniques are endless. This is a scrapbook layout inspired by a song challenge at WeScrap and Felis Challenge and a color challenge at Aussie Scrapjacked.

The title of my scrapbook layout is in Japanese- Soba ni Iru. Hubby and I loves this song.Its a love song. The title basically means I am Here Beside You.

Scrapbooking Techniques Inspiration 3

You can use different topics to keep you going with your scrapbooking techniques.

One of the most common source of inspirations is traits/hobbies of our subject. For example, I made a layout about my husband's favorite hobby-fishing. That photo was taken last August 15,2008.

This scrapbook layout is also inspired of a color challenge at WeScrap , a scrapbook sketch challenge at Eds Sketch,and theme challenge at Scrap and Craft with T. Leanne .

Something old- the picture was old-taken last year
Something new-New pps
Something borrowed- the sketch is borowed from Ed Sketch
Something blue- the pic has a shade of blue as well as one of my pp.

Theme Challenge might be a new scrapbooking technique for you. It simply means that there are certain theme required in creating your page. I will not discuss more about this technique as I have a separate post for this.

Scrapboook Idea: Joining Scrapbook Challenges

Scrapbook idea for your next layout can be inspired by scrapbook challenges all over the net. This challenges require various scrapbooking techniques for your page.

My scrapbook layout was created from 3 inspirations. First is the challenge set by Ally last Spring Crop at We Scrap- Trim your Grass. The challenge is to create at least 2 different edges in your paper either by distressing or using your deco scissors. Second inspiration was from a challenge set by Papierhouse. Use Yellow color on your lo. Third is from sketch challenge of Scrapnart Designs. Now you know the explanation behind my title.lol!

Journalling: My life is complete because of you
Materials Used:Glitz Sparrow PP,Daiso papers,Prima Flowers,Prima Say it in Crystals,MM Mini brads,Creative Cafe ribbon,Daisy ds die cut,Sassafras Lass pp,Daiso embellies.

I distressed the matting of the pics by tearing and inking and then I used my scallop scissors for the yellow paper. This picture was taken last December 29,2007.

To summarize, scrapbooking ideas use are from challenge sites. Scrapbooking techniques include distressing, using scrapbook sketch and using a color theme.

Scrapbook Layouts for March

Here are my scrapbook layouts for March.

What a title. Yay! So here are my layouts that I managed to finished over the last quarter of March. I played with Scrapchat,Scrapbbok n Bits, Scrappin Kids and MONAME. Now who is chatty?lol! I dont love forums I swear!LOL!!

This is our picture last new year (our second new year together)

I recycled the prima packaging and use it as a border for my picture and the pieces of papers were from my left over stash of papers that is accumulating on my drawer.lol! I used the sketch provided by the SnB.

This layout is very special for me since its my first time to try tearing technique in a different side.The result was not that sensational though.lol! This is also my example for a challenge I was asked for.... I bet you will see this lo featured in a challenge blog in a few days from now...Guess where?Secret!

If you look closer,the picture was cut into a puzzle piece.

This is my first attempt to create a background using paint and just use 3 colors-violet,green and orange. This is done under one hour sketch challenge set by Tina of MONAME. Gee I need to practice more,lol!

Ok the next 2 los are the los that I am not happy with the results..Im running out of my MOJO I guess.


A scraplift page from MONAME. I didnt get the look that I wanted. The lo that I scraplifted was stunning but then here I am again wasnt able to do something as stunning..lol!An lo inspired by our favorite song- True Love. Again,I know its lacking something.
