Scrapbooking Techniques;Your 2 Cents?

Today I will talk about scrapbooking techniques and all my ramblings about it. This might be a long and boring post,so I hope you would grab a cuppa and finished reading till the end. Remember, patience is a virtue.lol!

The past month was the most challenging month I had ever since I dove in scrapbooking. Why? Its because a lot of thoughts speak inside my mind and I know some of them were ignored for the past nine months. What thoughts you asked? Well most are scrappy and carfty thoughts!

One of the major aspect I feel vital in this hobby is the scrapbooking techniques aspect. Yeah, that explains my title. Scrapbooking techniques, evolved a long way from the early beginnings of scrapbooking. It is correct to conclude that the sky is only the limit for scrapbooking techniques.

A novice scrapper might feel overfed by the ideas in many scrapbooking blogs and forums. Dont get me wrong with the word overfed . Let me explain more about this thought.

Internet has been our online library. We often find ourselves opening our Google Page everytime we want to search for new ideas. There are about 18 million sites that cater on topics about scrapbooking and 807 thousand sites that discuss scrapboooking techniques alone.

Sometimes I feel over loaded with information.lol! I saw a lot of amazing scrapbook techniques and ideas applied in a scrapbook layout from different sites. In fact, most of my time is consumed in blog hopping. (Bad!lol!)

Yet, at the end of the day, I feel something is missing. Its like a merry-go-round ride. And subconsciously I feel exhausted.

Am I the only one like this?

How many scrappers out there like me,who feel the same?

Do you find something is missing too?

These are the questions I tried to answer the past weeks. I am compiling my discussions about this idea and will keep you updated.

Moreover, I challenge you to voice out any ideas you may be having in your thoughts.

Please leave me your 2 cents or questions and I will try to answer them. Isnt it fun to have scrappy discusions once in a while?lol!

Here is my main question for all of you darls;

Do you enjoy scrapbooking tecniques blogs? Why?

Have you felt the information overload syndrome?

Do you feel that something is missing with these scrapbooking blogs?

Thanks so much for reading till the end!

Cant wait to hear from you all!

Do you enjoy scrapbooking techniques blogs? Why?

Nope. Honestly I am not a technique kind of girl, I do what I do like I've always done and that doesn't involve a lot of techniques. Seriously too how many blogs can you have of techniques? I mean there are many uber talented peeps out there that do neat stuff but it's not my cup of tea. I stick with what I know.

Have you felt the information overload syndrome?

Yes, I feel like this is the new trend, blogs and teaching on them. Although some of the stuff is cool to look at, there are too many and too much out there these days. What happened to the basics?

Do you feel that something is missing with these blogs?

Since I do not frequent them, I cannot answer this really. I stay away from blogs like this because more than likely I won't seriously try the technique even if it is cool looking.

i don't visit them either...i love to look aty pages and get something from them and then just do it my way...i think we all have a naturl way we do our oages, and it doesn't matter how hard you try to look like someone elses, it just doesn't happen...well for me anyway...i think we go back to what we do comfortably, and what is ours!!!!does that make sense????

i've never gone to a technique blog - i just surf blogs and lots of ladies show how they did something or i see something and think 'i could do that'.

i love learning new techniques and applying them to my pages, esp ones that don't require me to go out and buy tons of new stuff.
